Libraries Will Reopen on June 22nd

Martinsburg-Berkeley County Library patrons will be welcomed into the library's buildings starting June 22nd. Currently, the Martinsburg and Hedgesville Libraries are offering No-Contact pick-up and we will continue the service after the buildings are open.  North Berkeley Library will also continue it’s Drive-Thru window service.

Starting June 22nd, patrons will be able to browse the stacks, check out materials, and use computers.  Printing, faxing, copying and notary services will be available.  At the Martinsburg Library, passport services will resume on July 6th by appointment.

To protect our patrons and staff, the library will be implementing safety measures. The number of people allowed in the building will be limited and we will not be able to offer seating areas at this time. Staff will wear masks, and we strongly encourage patrons to wear masks. All high-touch surfaces will be cleaned frequently. Due to occupancy restrictions, meeting rooms will not be available. All library materials are quarantined for 72 hours after they are returned.

The library’s Summer Reading program is virtual this year.  To participate in the reading challenge, download the Beanstack app or pick up a paper reading log at the library.  Children who complete the reading challenge can pick up a prize bag at the library anytime after July 1st.   Programs and Storytimes are offered virtually through Facebook.  Please visit our website's summer reading page for the program calendar.

Please call 304-267-8933 or visit our website for more information.  The Library's hours will be restricted in June, but we will return to our normal schedule July 6th.
