Oral History Virtual Program

Have you ever heard about Oral Histories and not really understood why historians conduct or use them?

This is an introduction to what an oral history is as well as how they are gathered and used. Finally, there will be a discussion on the use of oral histories in our lives, how could we collect our family histories and pass them along. We will look at best practices, practical equipment and resources.

About the Presenter: Michael Hosking is the museum curator at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. He curates the oral history program at the park, making these oral histories accessible to the public.
