All libraries will be closed from Friday December 24 through Monday December 27.
One exception: Hedgesville Library will be open normal hours on Monday December 27th.

One exception: Martinsburg Library will be open 2:50pm to 5:30pm December 31 for a special event only (no library services). Everyone is invited to the Grand Opening of Berkeley County 250th History Exhibit from 2:50pm to 5:30 pm December 31st.
What to expect at our re-opened branches
All MBCPL Libraries are now open!
Patrons are now able to browse the stacks, check out materials, and use computers. Printing, faxing, copying and notary services will be available.
At the Martinsburg Library, passport services are available by appointment.

To protect our patrons and staff, the library is implementing safety measures.

The number of people allowed in the building will be limited and we will not be able to offer seating areas at this time.

Staff will wear masks and we strongly encourage patrons to wear masks.

All high-touch surfaces will be cleaned frequently.

Due to occupancy restrictions, meeting rooms will not be available.

All library materials are quarantined for 72 hours after they are returned.
We will be waiving fines
on all materials.
You may keep checked out items at home at this time. If you do not feel sick and you are comfortable returning items in the book drop at any of our four branches you may do so. We are taking great care to not handle returned items until they have been disinfected.
No-contact pick-up is still available.
Items placed on hold may be picked up at your local branch. You may submit requests for any circulating material through the online catalog or telephone. The number of hold requests are limited to 10 per person. After placing your holds, our staff will call you to confirm a pick up time/date between between 10:00 am and 4:45pm Monday – Friday.
We also encourage our patrons to use our online resources and digital collections at this time. You can get even get a digital library card with just a couple clicks!
