We are celebrating Berkeley County's 250th anniversary this year with our libraries' Summer Reading Program theme: "Discover Berkeley County”! In addition to reading challenges for all ages, we are encouraging people to visit landmarks, parks, museums, and businesses in Berkeley County, to learn about the past, present and future of this great place. 

       MBCPL’s Summer Reading Program is designed to help children with reading skill retention during their summer break, and foster a community of readers for all ages. In addition to this, MBCPL is hosting many awesome events this summer! Attending our programs and events can help you complete the challenges. Each person that completes the challenge will receive a small prize and their name will be entered into a drawing for one of our grand prizes! So, join the fun this summer. The Martinsburg-Berkeley County Public Libraries’  “Discover Berkeley County” Summer Reading Challenge begins June 4th 2022 and lasts until July 30th.
