Summer Reading Challenge

June 5 - July 24

MBCPL's summer reading challenge is a great way to keep students reading when they're out of school and encourages adults to meet their reading goals on lazy summer days. Summer 2021 at MBCPL will be full of outdoor and virtual programs at all four branch libraries, just check out our events below! The theme for 2021's Summer Reading Challenge is "Tails and Tales" - animal stories!

You can also join in the fun at home by picking up an activity packet curbside or printing it from SRP printables. Attending an outdoor or virtual program, doing activities from the packet, and/or meeting your reading goals earns you badges on Beanstack!

Each participant has a chance to win great grand prizes in raffle drawings! Just earn badges on your Beanstack app or turn in your completed paper log in person to get tickets entered in the raffle for the prize of your choice! Children and teen participants will have some opportunities to win smaller prizes as well, from treasure boxes at each branch.

Register by age group. Reading challenges and activities are designed specifically by our librarians for four different age groups. Pre-readers are ages 0-4, Children ages 4-10, Teens ages 10-18, or Adults ages 18 and up.

Download the Beanstack app and register on your phone, register online with Beanstack, or pick up a paper log in person at your library branch
